We are in need of some fabulous graduate students that would like to participate in this FINtastic outreach program within our local schools.
In an hour we ask that you give a short presentation (all ready made) and help kids dissect their very own fish. The kids were so inspired to be a scientist and they had so much fun getting their hands dirty.
The fish are all ready here and waiting for you to grab the day of or night before in a cooler.
Want to do this but nervous you don’t know enough about fish?
No worries. Its super basic external anatomy and just the body cavity for internal. A quick review of the ppt and maybe a google search and you should be fine. Most students are just excited to have science in the classroom.
Any further inquiries and the sign up sheet please email one of the sfs officers (Emilee Briggs, Kayelyn Simmons, or Tiffany Penland). Shad in the Classroom
